Entrepreneurship Development

As of December 1, 2024, the number of active small and medium-sized business (SME) entities amounted to 58.2 thousand. The number of people employed in SMEs increased by 3.2% in the first half of 2024, reaching 129.9 thousand people.

In 2024, 3.0 billion KZT was allocated for entrepreneurship development under the Unified Business Support Program:

• Interest rate subsidy mechanism: 590 agreements were signed for loans totaling 29.8 billion KZT.
• Partial loan guarantees: 310 agreements were signed for loans totaling 10.5 billion KZT, with the total amount of guarantees reaching 5.4 billion KZT.
