Following the results of 8 months of 2020, industrial products were produced in the amount of 1190.6 billion tenge, including in the mining and processing industries - respectively, for 1017.4 and 128.0 billion tenge.
The index of the physical volume of industrial production amounted to 102.4%.
The growth in industrial production was ensured by an increase in hydrocarbon production, in particular natural gas by 3.1%, gas condensate - by 3%.
Production volume since the beginning of the year was:
gas 14,266.8 million cubic meters of gas, which is 3.1% more than in the corresponding period of 2019;
- liquid hydrocarbons (oil and condensate) - 8,427.9 million tons, which is 3.0% more than in the corresponding period of 2019.
The decrease in production volumes in monetary terms is due to the decrease in the cost of oil.
In addition, the volume of production increased in the sectors of food production - by 2.7%, in the chemical industry - by 2 times, in textiles - by 6.5 times.
At the same time, there is a decrease in production volumes in the manufacturing industry by 1.2%, which is due to a decrease in production volumes in the metallurgy, mechanical engineering, construction industry due to a decrease in demand for products due to the epidemiological situation, mainly by consumers from the Russian Federation.
The share of the manufacturing industry in the total industry for the reporting period amounted to 10.8%.
In the metallurgy industry, according to the results of 8 months of 2020, products were produced in the amount of 11.9 billion tenge, which is 15.1% less than in the corresponding period of 2019. The decrease in production volumes is due to a decrease in the production of tubing at the base of KazTrubprom LLP due to a decrease in demand for products from Russian consumers due to the announced quarantine due to the ongoing sanitary and epidemiological measures.
For the same reason, the volume of production in the engineering industry has decreased. The enterprises of the industry produced goods worth 26.7 billion tenge or 92.1%. Also, the decline in production volumes was influenced by problems in the supply of component parts due to the temporary suspension of work by suppliers.
In the industry of production of finished metal products, products were produced in the amount of 7.1 billion tenge, which is 7.8% more than the same period in 2019. The growth was ensured by an increase in the production of metal structures.
The construction industry enterprises produced products worth 8.1 billion tenge in comparison with 2019, production decreased by 3.8% due to a decrease in the production of ready-mixed concrete on the basis of Hydromash-Orion-MZhBK LLP.
Enterprises of the foodstuff production industry produced products worth 49.1 billion tenge, which is 2.7% more than in the same period of 2019 due to the growth in the production of pasta and flour products on the basis of Beles-Agro LLP.
The enterprises of the chemical industry produced goods worth 1.9 billion tenge, which is 15.4% higher than in the corresponding period of the previous year. The growth was ensured by an increase in the volume of liquid nitrogen production by 1.3 times on the basis of Azotny Zavod LLP.
The enterprises of the rubber and plastic products industry produced goods for the amount of 4.6 billion tenge, which is 5.7% higher than in the corresponding period of the previous year. The growth was ensured by increasing the volume of production of plastic pipes on the basis of UTPK LLP.
Labor productivity in this industry at the end of the 1st half of 2020 amounted to $ 4.0 thousand / person. and increased by 7.9%.
Exports in the manufacturing industry at the end of the 1st half of 2020 amounted to USD 56.7 million, which is 23.6% lower than in the corresponding period of 2019. This is primarily due to a decrease in demand from customers in the Russian Federation due to quarantine in view of the measures taken to ensure sanitary conditions. During the reporting period, almost all major exporters reduced production and exports.
There are also problems with the lack of orders and working capital; incomplete use of existing production facilities.
At the same time, it should be noted that in order to support domestic manufacturers by increasing their workload, the issues of placing orders on the basis of the defense industry enterprises for the current year have been resolved.
14 contracts were signed for the construction and maintenance of boats, ships and the supply of ammunition for a total of 9.7 billion tenge with JSC Ural Plant Zenit, JSC ZKMK and JSC NII Gidropribor.
Enterprises of the industry are included in the register of producers of Samruk-Kazyna Contract LLP in order to conclude an agreement from a single source.
Samyruk - Kazyna - Contract LLP has concluded 26 agreements with machine-building companies of WKO this year, including:
- with JSC "ZKMK" 6 contracts for the supply of tanks, electric dehydrators, buffer tanks and PVE;
- PK "Ural Foundry and Mechanical Plant" 20 contracts for the supply of spare parts, pumping units, pumps of the CNS brand.
In addition, at present, manufacturing enterprises in Samruk Kazyna Contract LLP have submitted 3 applications, of which 2 applications have been approved: Zhaik Petroleum LLP (methanol production); A.Priori LLP (production of office chairs).
The application of JSC Uralskagroremmash (production of tanks) is also being considered.
Samruk Kazyna Kontarkt LLP is ready to conclude contracts from one source with the above enterprises.
In order to increase production volumes, increase labor productivity and promote exports, work is underway to clarify the main support mechanisms within the framework of state programs, including the state program for support and business development "Business Road Map 2025", to reimburse part of the costs of exporters and to support measures. aimed at increasing labor productivity through the JSC "Kazakhstan Center for Industry and Export" QazIndustry ".
Based on the results of the events held in 2019, 21 applications were submitted from 12 industrial enterprises to the Kazakhstan Center for Industry and Export QazIndustry JSC for reimbursement of part of the costs of exporters and for support measures aimed at increasing labor productivity.
This year, 53 applications from 11 enterprises were sent to reimburse the costs of promoting domestic processed goods (on the foreign market). Of these, 38 applications from 11 companies were approved for the amount of 78.4 million tenge.
6 applications from 4 companies were sent to provide support in terms of increasing labor productivity.
Currently, the West Kazakhstan region is on the 3rd place by the number of submitted applications, the approved projects on the 2nd place in the republic.
Also, in order to support domestic producers in December 2019, a meeting was held with representatives of the Branch of JSC Euroconsultants S.A. - BranchofKazakhstan ", JSC" Kazakhstan center of industry and export "QazIndustry" to explain the project for the development of equipment suppliers.
26 enterprises from the West Kazakhstan region applied for participation in the project.
23 enterprises passed the 1st stage - the assessment of the enterprise, and also received recommendations for improving their activities and preliminary development plans.
The second stage of the project passed 19 enterprises of the region, which were invited to business trainings with well-known foreign companies.
At the 3rd stage, 14 WKO companies were selected for cost recovery following the implementation of international standards API, ASME from 70 to 90%.
