WKR approved the regional election program of the Nur Otan party»

The XXVI extraordinary conference of the West Kazakhstan regional branch of the Nur Otan party was opened by the Chairman of the branch, akim of the region Gali Iskaliev.

"The draft document defining the main directions, goals and objectives of the party and the expected results was published on the official website and publicly discussed during the primaries for two months," Gali Nazhmedenovich recalled.

- At the initiative of our First President, Nursultan Nazarbayev, for the first time in the history of our independent country, we took an active part in the primaries this year. I am sure that unbiased, decent people with their own ideas and new views took part in the primaries. The primaries were attended by specialists from various fields: entrepreneurs, teachers, doctors, builders, representatives of public organizations and the media. The activity of young people and women is especially important.»

460 candidates were registered in the WKO primaries. 421 candidates participated, including 155 women and 144 youth representatives under 35 years of age. In four days, 22,903 party members or 85% of the region voted.

During the primaries, 1205 proposals were received from the population of the region, 904 of which (77%) were included in the election program of regional, city and district branches of the party.

The party's election program identifies seven priority areas for regional development:

1. Economically sustainable region.

2. Comfortable region.

3. Socially-oriented region.

4. Region for young people.

5. a Region with a rich history and culture.

6. Open and accountable local authorities.

7. Secure region.
