Development of preschool and secondary general education
Preschool education and training as the first stage of the education system is an important stage in the social formation of a child's personality.
The network of preschool organizations comprises 516 units, of which 223 are kindergartens, 60 “school-kindergarten” complexes and 233 mini-centers. More than 30 thousand children are involved in preschool education and training.
The rate of coverage of preschool education and training for children from 1 to 6 years old was 70%.

General secondary education
At the beginning of the 2020-2021 academic year, there are 383 daytime general education schools in the region with a total of 111542 students (including 3 private schools), incl. primary schools - 67 with a contingent of 740 students, basic schools - 69 with a contingent of 3630 students and secondary schools - 247 with a contingent of 107,172 students.
In 2020, due to population migration and the lack of a contingent of students were closed 2 primary schools BostandykNSh and NSh named after I. Seksenbaeva, Kaztalovsky district.
Due to the increase in the contingent of students, 1 basic school was reorganized into a secondary one: Taldybulak secondary school of Syrym district.
The number of Kazakh schools, with a contingent of 72,126 students makes up 259schools or 68.3% of the total number of public daytime general education schools.
The network of evening schools is 3 (Uralsk-1 school, Aksai-1, Baiterek-1 district) with a contingent of 222 students.
The number of non-state day general education schools is 3 units with a contingent of 260 students.
Of the total number of secondary schools in the region, 217 or 57% are small schools.
Aiming to solve the problems and improve the quality of education in the region, 17 resource centers are currently operating. Of these, in Akzhaiksky district - 2, Bokeyordinsky district - 1, Burlinsky district - 1, Zhangalinsky district - 1, Zhanibeksky district - 1, Syrymsky - 2, Karatobinsky district - 1, Zelenovsky - 1, Terektinsky - 2, Taskalinsky - 1, Kaztalovsky - 2, Chingirlau region - 2.
Learning coverage
According to the regional and city departments of education, as of June 10, 2020, the number of students who do not attend school without a valid reason for more than 10 days is 184, including 5 of them do not want to study, 4 are wanted, 9 are migration.
Daily transportation of students
For 4253 (100.0%) children living in 90 settlements that do not have corresponding schools, transportation to 58 schools was organized. 70 units of vehicles are involved in the delivery. Of these, 74.2% (52) of vehicles belong to schools. The need for vehicles is 22 units.
