The number of recipients of electronic digital signatures through PSCs increased sharply in January. Since the beginning of the year, Kazakhstanis have issued more than 270 thousand EDS through Public Service Centers, which is 30% more than in December.
The increase in the number of EDS recipients is due to the need for its availability when withdrawing pension savings and for the annual submission of declarations by civil servants. Residents of the cities of Almaty, Nur-Sultan and Turkestan region are the leaders among the digital signature designers, while in the southern capital the number of designers exceeded 27 thousand, in the other two regions 23 thousand signatures, respectively. The minimum number of EDS issued through the PSC in the West Kazakhstan region, in total-7 thousand.
According to the chairman of the state corporation Adil Kozhikhov, EDS can be issued online, so there is no need to visit crowded places during a pandemic. "We care about the health of every resident. Today, the digital signature you can make at home in just a few minutes," says Adil of Kozikov.
The Government also reminds citizens of the need to update the digital signature of the keys in a timely manner. When an electronic signature issued for a year expires, i.e. 10 days in advance, the owner of the digital signature receives an SMS notification. Citizens can extend the validity of the keys on the website of the National Certification Center pki.gov.kz for another year. This also eliminates the need to contact the PSC to obtain an EDS.
Note that it is possible to issue an EDS online through the egov portal.kz has been in existence since April 2020. To do this, you must have a laptop or computer with a camera, an ID card and registration in the database of mobile citizens. The system will offer to save the new EDS after the identification of the person and the personal data of the citizen.
