On December 7, 2022, a school educational project "Marathon of Scientific Knowledge" was held at the KSU Secondary School No. 9 in Semey. This event was developed and held as part of the implementation of the Long-term Development Plan of the school and is aimed at creating a space for professional orientation of students, strengthening cooperation of educational, scientific and industrial organizations.
The following were invited to the event: delegation of the NAO "Shakarim University" headed by the Chairman of the Board – Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs I.Oralkanova, Head of the Department "Technological Equipment and Mechanical Engineering" G.Zhumadilov, Head of the Department "Automation, Information Technology, Urban Planning" D.Kozhakhmetov; representative of the KGKP "Electrotechnical College" Head.Employment and Career Center B.Kadylbekova; Deputy General Director for Production R.Turagulov; methodologist of the State Institution "Department of Education of the Semey City of the Department of Education of the Abai region" A.Nigmatullina.
During the Marathon, memorandums of cooperation were signed: a bilateral "School-College" - between School No. 9 and the College of Electrical Engineering and a trilateral "School–University-Production" - between school No. 9, NAO "Shakarim University" and JSC "Semey Engineering". Within the framework of the Memorandum, general and vocational education are combined into a single system, which will allow identifying and supporting talented young people, future engineering and technological professionals.
Results of the regional stage of the republican contest "Student of the Year"
On December 5, the results of the regional stage of the republican contest "Student of the Year", organized by the Committee for the Protection of Children's Rights of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan within the framework of the "Year of Children", were summed up. The republican contest "Zhyl Okushysy" is an integral part of the system of work with highly motivated and gifted children.
Objectives of the competition:
• improving the educational level of students;
• introducing them to independent research and creative work in various fields of knowledge;
• formation of a new level of personal abilities.
The competition was attended by students with achievements in intellectual and subject Olympiads, competitions on scientific and research projects, marathons, scientific and practical conferences, sports competitions and competitions.

"Unified National Testing (UNT) is one of the forms of qualifying exams for admission to organizations of higher and (or) postgraduate education" (The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Education", Article 1, paragraph 56)
It is carried out in regional testing centers (RCTs), in electronic format according to the principle "1 computer – 2 cameras – 1 test subject";
Quarantine restrictions remain in the RCT in compliance with all sanitary and epidemiological requirements;
Applicants can independently choose the day, time and place (regional testing center - RCT) of testing;
Test tasks (TOR) are used, with the choice of one and with the choice of several correct answers;
The test result is issued immediately upon completion of testing;
An application for an appeal on the content of the test task
is submitted upon completion of testing within 30 minutes, for
technical reasons - during testing.

In connection with adverse weather conditions, in accordance with the order of the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 42 dated January 18, 2016 "On approval of the rules for canceling classes in educational organizations, as well as educational organizations implementing educational programs of technical and vocational education, in adverse weather conditions", distance learning is organized in educational organizations of the city of Semey schoolchildren. In the regional technology cluster "Abai IT-Valley" of Alikhan Bokeikhanov University, training seminars for advanced training of IT workers in the Abai region were held from November 23 to 25. During the seminars, the topics of the anti-virus protection system of organizations, protection against spam and phishing were raised. Topical issues about modern virus threats, ways of penetration of virus threats into corporate networks, company tasks were discussed.
Representatives of schools - computer science teachers, IT specialists, representatives of state institutions and students were trained at the seminar. During the seminar, students were introduced to modern cyber threats and ways to protect against virus attacks. After passing the seminar, certificates confirming the acquired knowledge were awarded.

Palace of Creativity of Children and Youth for the
regional competition of young vocalists "Alakai"
On November 18, 2022, at 15.00 o'clock, the regional vocal competition "Alakai" was held in the Palace of Creativity of Children and Youth. The competition was held in 2 stages, in two age categories: 6-8 years and 9-11 years. In the 1st round, which took place on November 11, 42 participants were auditioned in the auditorium of the Youth Palace. 29 young vocalists made it to the final of the competition.
The guys who did not pass the 2nd round were awarded certificates for participation.
The competition was attended by novice vocalists of students of schools and vocal studios, junior and middle ages.
All the guys coped successfully and showed a high level of performance. The contestants presented not only their musical skills, but also their artistic abilities.

On 18.11.2022, a foresight session for teachers of partner schools on the topic "Effective strategies for organizing group work" was organized at the KSU "Secondary School No. 20" in Semey, Abai region. The purpose of this event was to introduce participants to new strategies in the organization of training, their characteristics, goals and the significance of their application for effective learning.
The foresight session included group and collective work, participants predicting the purpose of the event of a possible problem in the form of brainstorming and ways to solve it through the implementation of practical tasks in a group. During the session, teachers had the opportunity not only to get acquainted with new strategies, but also to put them into practice, to understand which strategy is more effective in strengthening the quality of students' knowledge for group work.
On November 16, the Youth Palace hosted a meeting of the Minister of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan A. K. Aitmagambetov with the pedagogical community of the Abai region. In addition to teachers, the Minister met with schoolchildren and creative youth of Semey. The participants of the debate movement of our region were in the forefront. Askhat Kanatovich talked with young speakers, noted the positive impact of debates on the personality of a teenager, wished our children further success.
Yesterday, on November 16, Minister of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Askhat Kanatovich Aimagambetov paid a working visit to Semey city.
During the meeting at the Youth Palace, Minister Askhat Kanatovich met with teachers participating in the pilot projects "Competence Centers "Points of Growth" and "Two teachers during the day in a preschool organization group", got acquainted with their activities.
After listening to the teachers' opinions on the work of the pilot projects, I wished them good luck.
