Ilya Zhakanov: “I want fruits of independence to serve future generations”

From seven o'clock in the morning, people wishing to cast their votes go to polling station No. 7 for the election of deputies of the Mazhilis of the Republic of Kazakhstan and local maslikhats. Among them is a writer, composer, artist, "Kazakhstannyn Yenbek Yeri" Ilya Zhakanov, the Press Service of the akim of the region reports.

Together with his wife Tyiysh Altayeva, the elder made his choice.

“Today is a big event, a responsible event – Election Day. We cast our vote for a candidate we know and trust, who is always in the thick of things, does his job responsibly, and does great things. He has his own special place in society, and we like him. We are glad that energetic, businesslike, honest, fair, active, skillful and knowledgeable people go to such important places. May our country prosper, may the achievements of independence and its fruits serve future generations,” Ilya Zhakanov said.
