A. Giniyat discussed number of problematic issues with chief doctors of Atyrau region

Today, as part of a working trip to the Atyrau region, the Minister of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Azhar Giniyat, held a meeting with the heads of medical organizations in the western region on topical issues of local healthcare.
During the discussion on key areas of providing medical care to the population, the most problematic issues were raised in terms of staffing, low technical equipment, insufficient prevention at the PHC level.
This applies to the organization of medical care in the field of maternal and child health, in diseases of the circulatory system, malignant neoplasms, injuries and surgical interventions.
As follows from the speech of the head of the department, in the Atyrau region there is a high incidence of diseases of the circulatory system (heart attack, stroke), which indicates insufficient implementation of primary prevention measures at the PHC level.
The Minister noted the following shortcomings in this direction, such as the lack of primary prevention of CSD and dynamic monitoring of elderly people with concomitant diseases at the PHC level. In general, she noted in the region the poor organization of medical care at the PHC level by therapists, GPs for medical examination of patients, primary and secondary prevention of stroke, which causes high mortality at home. And as a result, there is a low proportion - only 42.4% of persons taken on the "D" account, after a stroke.
Among the main problems in the work of the oncological service of the Atyrau region, the minister pointed to the lack of personnel of narrow specialists (cytopathomorphologists, chemotherapists, medical physicists, thoracic oncologists, oncourologists).
A. Giniyat drew attention during the meeting that the building of the Atyrau Oncological Dispensary was recognized as emergency, it is necessary to build a new building of the main and radiological buildings.
A number of systemic issues to improve the quality and accessibility of medical care in the region were discussed at a meeting of the minister with the chief doctors of the region.
