Best eagle hunters were determined at XVI Championship of national sport "Kusbegilik" among adults
In the village of Zhanatalap, Atyrau region, the XVI Championship of the Republic of Kazakhstan among adults in the national sport "Kusbegilik" ended. The winners who showed the best results at the end of the competition were awarded special prizes. The Championship was organized by the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Association of National Sports, the Republican Federation "Kusbegilik" and the Akimat of Atyrau Region.
Thus, Kuntugan Armanbek became the champion among the eagle hunters. In second place is a resident of the Abay region Yerzat Baikadamov, in third place are Serikbek Kuntugan (Astana) and Arman Kushkarov (Atyrau region).
Among hunters with hawks, the main prize was won by the representative of the Turkistan region Dauren Arshabay. The second place was taken by Bagdat Keuenov, the third place was shared between the residents of the capital Serikbek Kuntugan and Kudaibergen Rauiluly.
In the individual championship, the winner in hunting with birds of prey (saker falcon) was Yerlan Kenzhetayev from Akmola region. In second place is Bakdaulet Babazhan from the Zhambyl region, in third place is Ibragim Bazarbayev and Bagdat Keuenov (Turkistan region).
Thus, in the team event, the athletes of the Turkistan region won 1 gold, 1 silver, 2 bronze medals. Representatives of the capital and Akmola region took second and third places.
As previously reported, on the first day of the Championship, following the results of the “Call for a Hand” competition, 18 golden eagles advanced to the next stage. According to the participants, the weather conditions in the region influenced the results. It is worth noting that according to the rules of the game, those eagles that fly to the owner’s hand at his command get a maximum of 10 points. At the same time, taking into account adverse weather conditions, according to the decision of the jury, the participants who scored 9 points also went to the next round. As for the competition in launching birds of prey on a mock fox skin, 18 eagles made it to the second stage. In particular, sportsmen with birds of prey from Akmola, Almaty, Zhambyl, Abay, Karagandy, Atyrau regions and Astana got tickets to the semi-finals of the Championship. On the second day, hunting birds hunted hares.
Recall that the event was attended by representatives of Almaty, Akmola, Karagandy, Zhambyl, East Kazakhstan, Turkistan, Mangystau, Pavlodar, Atyrau regions, Astana, as well as the regions of Abay, Ulytau and Zhetisu. Thus, about 50 athletes from 14 regions of the country took part in the competition with the involvement of birds of prey, including ten falcons, eleven hawks and thirty-one eagles.
The national sport "Kusbegilik" is a unique cultural value of our country, which has deep roots in Kazakh history, as well as one of the oldest traditions of the Kazakh people. This type of art is popular today, and the proof of this is the large number of participants from different regions of the country. The organizers are focused on strengthening the foundation of the future, instilling in young people the spiritual heritage of our ancestors. The main goal is the revival and development of national sports.
