Serik Shapkenov met with residents of Baigetobe village

The head of the region, having visited the Makat district, met with residents of the rural district of Baigetobe.

First of all, the akim of the region reported on the work carried out in the Baigetobe rural district. Then he listened to the problems of the residents. As it turned out, the issue of building engineering infrastructure is relevant for the villagers.

“One of the most discussed issues at meetings with the population is engineering infrastructure. In Baigetobe, funds were allocated and work began on the installation of networks, this is a gas pipeline, water supply and electricity networks. The project is scheduled for completion at the end of 2023. Another big problem is intra-settlement roads. In the rural district of Baigetobe, 56% of roads with a length of 28.7 km are dirt roads, today they are in poor condition, which creates significant difficulties for local residents. Work in this direction is underway,” S. Shapkenov said.

At the meeting, residents of the Baigetobe rural district discussed social issues: the provision of drinking water, the construction of an intra-settlement road, a playground, a sports complex, employment, street lighting, transportation of children to school from the villages of Yeskene and Taskesken.

The issue of transferring the villages of Yeskene, Taskesken, which are part of the rural district of Baigetobe, to the regional center was also raised. Akim of the region noted that work in this direction is underway.

Serik Shapkenov noted that the resolution of the issues raised at the meeting will take place in stages, within the framework of the law, and will be carefully monitored.

After the meeting with the residents, the head of the region held a reception of citizens on personal matters.

1,884 people live in the rural district of Baigetobe. There is a school-nursery-complex, one clinic, one police station and other social facilities.
