Press release of Atyrau Regional Territorial Election Commission on work on formation of voter lists

According to paragraph 18 of the "Calendar plan of the main events for the preparation and holding of early elections of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan scheduled for November 20, 2022" approved by the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan, on October 30 this year. were submitted according to the act in paper form to the precinct election commissions, in electronic form to the territorial election commissions, the list of voters for each polling station, signed by the relevant akim.

Voter lists are formed by the relevant local executive bodies at the place of residence on the basis of data from the state database on individuals with the inclusion of citizens of other regions in them in accordance with their applications.

As of October 30 this year, the number of voters in the region amounted to 409,949 people.

There are 270 election commissions in the region (9 territorial, 261 precinct), which employ 1966 members of the commissions.

Of the 261 polling stations, 11 are closed (9 health facilities, 1 military unit, 1 temporary detention facility).

From November 4, 2022, voters are given the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the lists of voters at the respective polling stations and check the accuracy of their data in the voter lists, as well as receive an absentee certificate for the right to vote at another polling station until 18:00 on November 19 of the current year.

Call-centers work in the direction of informing citizens about the election campaign. Through the chat of the SailauAtyrauBot Telegram channel and the website, residents can get information about which polling station they are registered at.

Every citizen has the right to check the data about himself in the voter lists and complain that they are not included in the list, incorrectly entered or excluded from the list, as well as errors in the data about voters in the lists.

At the invitation of citizens to participate in the elections, information tickets will be distributed to residential buildings of A5, AZ format.

Voters will be informed about the place and time of voting.

Electoral commissions are fully provided with material and technical equipment. When voting, conditions for citizens with disabilities will be created.

At 165 polling stations, services are provided for checking the registration of citizens at the place of residence and at 5 polling stations of the regional center, services for registering citizens without registration on voting day.

If it is impossible for voters to turn up to vote due to the state of health, the reason for caring for a sick family member, as well as staying in remote and hard-to-reach areas where polling stations have not been established, the precinct election commission organizes voting at the location of these voters upon their written application, which may be filed no later than twelve o'clock local time on Election Day.
