Construction of school for 900 students in Talgairan microdistrict began in Atyrau

In the Talgairan microdistrict of the city of Atyrau, the construction of a secondary school for 900 students has begun. The first brick of the educational institution, which will be built with the sponsorship of Caspian Pipeline Consortium JSC, was laid by Akim of Atyrau Region Serik Shapkenov and CPC General Director Nikolay Gorban. The commissioning of a new educational institution is planned for 2024, the Press Service of the akim of the region reports.

During the ceremony, Akim of the region Serik Shapkenov noted that the construction of a new school in a dynamically developing microdistrict would help solve the problem of shortage of school places in the city.

“Head of State Kassym-Zhomart Kemelevich Tokayev said in his Nation Address: “The quality of secondary education is another important condition for the formation of a successful nation. Favorable conditions for all-round learning and development should be created for each student. In general, the construction of schools should become one of the main tasks for the government and akimats.” Today we are gathered here to lay the foundation for another temple of knowledge, and all this is for the implementation of these important tasks,” he stressed. The main thing for us is to achieve the quality of construction work in the required time. We follow the principle “The future of the country is in the hands of an educated generation”, this is the main investment in the future,” Serik Shapkenov said.

The territory of the future school is three hectares. The school consists of three blocks. It is planned that children in grades 1-4 will study in the first block, grades 5-9 in the second, and grades 10-11 in the third.

The new school will be equipped with an assembly hall for 210 seats, a canteen for 312 seats, two gyms and two libraries, as well as a medical post. 36 classrooms with a capacity of 25 students will be equipped with modern equipment.

Particular attention is paid to the improvement of the external territory of the school. It is planned to build a football field, a running track, a zone of sports simulators, a tennis court and a stadium with a volleyball court here. A space is also being created for basic military training. There will be parking for school buses and private cars, including for people with disabilities.

“One of the priority values of the consortium is social responsibility. We, as a socially oriented company, constantly support the implementation of such projects in the areas where the CPC oil pipeline system passes. Every year we invest heavily in charitable assistance,” Nikolay Gorban, CPC General Director, said.

In the period from 2001 to 2022, Caspian Pipeline Consortium JSC allocated about 11 billion tenge for charitable events in the Atyrau region. Including the construction and reconstruction of schools, kindergartens, medical institutions.
