ON THE INDEPENDENCE HOLIDAY THE STAGE PRODUCTION "AIBYNY ASKAN ALTYN ORDA" WAS CARRIED OUT

On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the country's independence, the Academic Drama Theater named after Makhambet staged a stage performance of the literary and theatrical composition "Aibyny Askan Altyn Orda", the Press Service of the akim of the region reports.

The event was attended by Akim of the region Makhambet Dosmukhambetov, who watched the historical stage production together with public figures, intellectuals and veterans of the region. Congratulating them on the 30th anniversary of independence, the head of the region emphasized the role of the older generation in the formation of the state.

He stressed that the celebration of sovereignty is accompanied by important events in the region.

"The sacred holiday is celebrated in the Atyrau region with meaningful events. One of them is the historical and educational performance “Aibyny Askan Altyn Orda".

It made it possible to feel that we are the heirs of the Great Country, which created powerful states in the Great Steppe, and made its contribution to world civilization. This is the great power of art. Therefore, I express my gratitude to the theater team, who prepared an excellent production that renews historical memory,” the head of the region said.

Noting that this year was special for the Atyrau region from a historical point of view, the akim of the  region drew attention to the fact that on behalf of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, an international scientific and practical conference "Ulyk Ulys-Altyn Orda" was held.

"The vast land where the flags of our Turkic ancestors fluttered, the basis of the Juchi Altyn Orda ulus today is the backbone of the entire nation. Well-known foreign and domestic scientists have had a great influence on the re-evaluation of our history. They gave a new impetus to the promotion of national history," the head of the region, M. Dosmukhambetov said, talking about the prospects for the historical settlement of Saraishyk.

"Saraishyk is not just an ancient settlement on the banks of the Urals. This is a sacred place that was once the political and economic center of Altyn Orda. Our goal is to restore Saraishyk, turning it into a tourism center. The construction of the visitor center has begun," the head of the region said, noting that work in this direction will continue.

"The Atyrau region with a rich history is a place where the khans who ruled the country, batyrs-commanders who controlled the minds of the biys, orators, akyns, and great kuishi found eternal peace. We will intensify work on the study of native history and its propaganda among the younger generation. Because a people that does not know its history and origins will not be able to raise a worthy generation and create a strong state.

The main idea of ​​today's work is the dream of our ancestors, who created powerful states in the Great Steppe, to become an eternal country. This dream was achieved by their descendants. We have become a sovereign state that the whole world reckons with," the akim of the region said, wishing that Independence be strengthened.

Along with this, expressing gratitude to the theater staff, the head of the region at the solemn event presented the theater with a letter of thanks from the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

Also, by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the jubilee medal "Kazakhstannyn Tauelsizdigine 30 zhyl" (30 years of Independence of Kazakhstan) was awarded to art historian, Honored Worker of Culture of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan Ilya Zhakanov.
