15 thousand people will be revaccinated in Atyrau by the end of the year

At the meeting chaired by the head of the region Makhambet Dosmukhambetov, the Head of the Department of Healthcare of the region Askhan Baidualiyev said this, the Press Service of the akim of the region said.

The head of the region noted at the meeting that the situation had not yet returned to normal and instructed to intensify vaccination and the work of monitoring groups.

"A new strain “Omicron” is spreading around the world, already today it has been identified in two people in the neighboring Russian Federation. Work is underway to prevent the spread of the new strain in the region. One of the measures is the coverage of residents of the region with vaccinations and revaccinations, work in this direction has been strengthened," the Head of the Department of Healthcare of the region Askhan Baidualiyev said , having familiarized with the indicators to date.

According to him, 251 955 people were vaccinated with the I component of the vaccine, and 232 772 people were vaccinated with the II component. This is 68.9% of the region residents to be vaccinated.

"Until December 31 of this year, 15,000 people will be reactivated. Unfortunately, the rate of revaccination in the region is low. To date, 1,025 people have been boosted. Over the past day, 155 people have been revaccinated. Now the repeated vaccination is carried out only with the Qazvac vaccine," A. Baidualiyev said.

Also, A. Baidualiyev said that 32,760 doses of the I and II components of the Pfizer vaccine were delivered to the region and 968 people were vaccinated with the I component.

Recall that this vaccine will cover children aged 12 to 18 and pregnant women.

At the meeting, the Chief State Sanitary Doctor of the region, Madeniet Tanauov, said that since November 20 of this year, the region has been steadily located in the "green" zone. According to him, over the past 10 days, 88 cases of coronavirus infection have been recorded. The indicator per 100 thousand inhabitants is 13.3%, of which 74.4% are symptomatic. At the same time, 54.5% of identified patients became infected in crowded places, and 25% - in public transport.

Akim of the region Makhambet Dosmukhambetov criticized the akims of the districts where vaccination and revaccination rates are low. Stressing that the issue of public safety does not tolerate inertia, he gave a number of instructions to responsible officials.

"The full vaccination result must be achieved. Along with this, it is necessary to take specific measures for revaccination. I am instructing to organize the appropriate work to increase the rate of revaccination and vaccination with the Pfizer vaccine. In addition, it is necessary to take the issue under control, to strengthen the work of monitoring groups, to regulate the procedure for visiting objects," M. Dosmukhambetov said.
