The comprehensive plan will be a powerful incentive for the development of the Atyrau region

A meeting was held to discuss and implement the draft comprehensive plan for the socio-economic development of the Atyrau region until 2025, the Communications Service of Atyrau region reports.
The meeting, chaired by the head of the region Makhambet Dosmukhambetov, was attended by deputies of the regional, city and district maslikhats, members of the regional Public Council. The regional akim noted that at a recent online meeting on the socio-economic development of the region, Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev set tasks in seven specific areas. Also, the role of the Atyrau region in the country's economy was noted.
“Nevertheless, there are still many problems in the region waiting to be solved. We raised these issues of concern to the population, asking the Head of State for assistance in solving them. Our proposals found support, and on behalf of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, a draft comprehensive plan for the socio-economic development of the Atyrau region until 2025 was prepared,” the head of the region, emphasizing the importance of this document said.
According to him, the comprehensive plan will give a powerful impetus to the development of industry, small and medium-sized businesses, the agro-industrial complex, the tourism industry, and will affect the solution of the accumulated problems in the fields of energy and ecology. In general, the main expected result from the implementation of the plan is a radical solution to the urgent problems of the region and an increase in the well-being of people. In particular, it is envisaged to attract to the region 9.6 trillion tenge investments in the next 5 years. It is planned to reconstruct 125 kilometers and repair more than 600 kilometers of roads. It is planned to build 16 medical facilities, 4 sports complexes and a boarding school for gifted children-athletes.
A member of the regional Public Council Nurzhan Yermukhanov said in his speech that the population gladly accepted the preparation of a comprehensive plan for the development of the region, especially since there was nothing like it before.
“I am pleased with the construction of a sports boarding school for gifted children in the region as part of a comprehensive plan. For a long time I raised this issue, including raising the issue, being the head of the regional Department of Physical Culture and Sports. Now the dream is turning into reality.

The construction of a sports school according to modern standards in the future will create ample opportunities for the psychological and physical development of children, to achieve high performance in the field of sports. All conditions will be created for talented youth. I am sure that here it is possible to educate winners who glorify not only the region, but who are able to defend the honor of the whole country at the Olympics,” N. Yermukhanov said, urging the Atyrau residents to take an active part in the implementation of the comprehensive plan.
Deputy of the regional maslikhat, chairman of the territorial union of trade unions "Atyrau regional center of trade unions" Izturgan Baimukhanov noted that as a result of the construction of 37 schools and 3.5 million square meters of housing in the forthcoming issues of three-shift schools and housing will be fundamentally resolved.
“A comprehensive plan aimed at solving the accumulated problems of the region and improving the well-being of the population of Atyrau also covers regions and villages. I wish success to the large-scale project developed for the benefit of the people and declare the readiness of the deputy corps to provide support,” I. Baimukhanov said.
