A vaccine is the only way to defeat a dangerous infection

At a meeting on vaccination in the region, the akim of the Atyrau region, Makhambet Dosmukhambetov, said that the vaccine is the only way to defeat a dangerous infection, the Communications Service of Atyrau region reports.

The meeting was attended by deputy akims of the region, heads of departments and, in the selector mode – akims of districts.

“Now the spread of infection is increasing in the country, the number of cases is growing every day. Ensuring the health and safety of the population is a common task. The only way to defeat a dangerous infection is through vaccination. Without stepping up work on vaccination, it is difficult for us to count on getting out of the red zone. If this work is done carelessly, quarantine requirements may be reinforced again,” the head of the region, Makhambet Dosmukhambetov said, noting that there is enough vaccination material in the region, but the work is not organized at the proper level.

The head of the Health Department Askhan Baidualiyev, presenting statistical data, announced the need to vaccinate 5 thousand people every day until May 1.

“To date, 38,200 doses have been delivered to the region, of which 37,200 are Sputnik-V, 1,000 doses are the QazCovid-in vaccine. 30 vaccination sites are open. In the period from February 1 to April 27, 20,228 people were vaccinated. The best indicator is among law enforcement officers - 96.6%,” A. Baidualiyev informed.

Also, according to the head of the department, it is planned to master 15 thousand doses of vaccine by May 1, increase the number of vaccination points to 40, open points on the basis of mobile medical complexes for residents of remote villages.

At the end of the meeting, akim of the region Makhambet Dosmukhambetov instructed to clearly organize such work in each institution, to conduct extensive explanatory work among the population.

“Each of you should be imbued with the awareness that vaccination is extremely important for the health and safety of the population and we have a great responsibility for this. I instruct the persons responsible for vaccination, the relevant authorities, the akims of the districts, together with the health department, to strengthen the work. It is necessary to create all conditions for citizens interested in receiving a vaccine, to organize effective information and explanatory work. And ensure the priority vaccination of those who directly work with the population - law enforcement officers, medical workers, teachers, social workers and others,” the head of the region ordered.

It should be noted that among the districts the residents of Kurmangzy district are most active in vaccination.
