The awards ceremony for the winners of the regional competition "Entrepreneur of the Year 2025" was held in Atyrau

Akim of Atyrau region Serik Shapkenov attended the ceremony and expressed gratitude to representatives of the business community who contribute to the region's economic development.

"President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasizes that competitive entrepreneurship is one of the key pillars of our state. Your work provides residents with stable jobs and contributes to the creation of new ones, while also boosting the region's economic development. Today, there are approximately 70,000 businesses operating in the region, producing goods worth 2.4 trillion tenge and employing 140,000 people. This is a significant contribution to strengthening the regional economy. In accordance with the President's instructions, entrepreneurship is provided with systematic support – to date, entrepreneurial projects worth over 12 billion tenge have been financed, and this work will continue," Akim S. Shapkenov noted. This year, the competition received over 150 applications from across the region. Winners and laureates were selected in 11 categories.

•⁠ ⁠In the "Best Young Entrepreneur" category, the winner was Raiymbek Turlanbekov, owner of the sole proprietorship "Social," which implements socially oriented projects;

•⁠ ⁠In the "Best Young Leader" category, the winner was Edige Kenzhinov, head of EDYGE LLP, who distinguished himself with production projects;

•⁠ ⁠In the "Family Business" category, the best was recognized as Kuralai Zhalgasbayeva, owner of the Nur-Ai camping site, who contributed to the development of this area;

•⁠ ⁠In the "Best in Retail" category, the winner was Ainur Buralkinova, director of the Infinity Mall shopping and entertainment center;

•⁠ ⁠In the "Best in Services" category, the award was presented to Rustem Kabdol, Director of MM Project LLP, for his professional service delivery;

•⁠ ⁠In the "Best Manufacturer" category, Etibar Mammadov, Director of Kaskhim LLP, won for his contribution to the development of domestic production;

•⁠ ⁠In the "Best Social Entrepreneur" category, the award went to Gulzirash Baktygereyeva, owner of the Tilashar individual entrepreneur, who successfully works in the field of social entrepreneurship;

•⁠ ⁠The winner of the "Best Woman Entrepreneur" category was Sandugash Zharmukhambetova, owner of the Sandugash farm, working in agriculture;

– In the "Businesstanu – Aliya" category, the winner among businesswomen was individual entrepreneur Bibigul Zhubayeva;

– Kairat Karchigin, head of the Yarmarka retail chain, won the "Best Employer" category for creating new jobs and demonstrating high social responsibility.

The competition's main award, the title of "Entrepreneur of the Year 2025," was awarded to Shota Abkhazava, head of TEXOL Group, for his significant contribution to the region's economic development.
