Press release of the Atyrau Regional Territorial Election Commission on the preparation and holding of the next elections of deputies of the Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan and maslikhats scheduled for January 10, 2021

There are 265 precinct election commissions in the Atyrau region, in which there are 1,925 members of election commissions.
There are 265 polling stations in the region, 11 of which are closed (hospitals, detention center, military unit).
As of January 9, 2021, 411,109 voters are registered in the region. Information on inclusion in the list of voters can be obtained at the Call Center, in the "Elections" section of the atyrau.gov.kz website, in the SailauAtyrauBot Telegram application or at precinct election commissions. Location, borders and telephone numbers of election commissions, numbers of Call-centers are posted on the website atyrau.gov.kz.
Precinct election commissions provided voters with information about the place and time of voting.
When changing the place of residence, the voter can receive an absentee certificate with the presentation of an identity document to the precinct election commission at the place of registration until 6.00 p.m. on January 9, 2021.
Decree of the Chief State Sanitary Doctor of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 29, 2020 No. 69 approved the "Algorithm for preventing the spread of coronavirus infection COVID-19 when organizing and conducting voting in the elections of deputies of the Majilis of the Parliament and maslikhats of the Republic of Kazakhstan".
Participants in the electoral process must comply with the provisions of this Decree.
According to this document, from January 5 to 8, in 23 medical institutions, including 16 in Atyrau and in 7 districts, PCR testing for COVID-19 was conducted for members of election commissions, proxies, and observers.

During the forthcoming election campaign in the Atyrau region, 141 deputies of 9 maslikhats will be elected. Among them: 31 deputies of the regional maslikhat, 24 deputies of the Atyrau city maslikhat, 86 deputies of 7 district maslikhats.
The period for nominating candidates for deputies began on November 10, 2020 and ended on December 4, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. local time. Registration of candidates for maslikhat deputies ended on December 10, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. local time.
There are 333 candidates in the party lists of 5 parties registered as deputies of maslikhats.

According to 5 lists of the People's Democratic Patriotic Party "Auyl" - 18 candidates;
According to 9 lists of the Ak Zhol Democratic Party - 38 candidates;

According to 3 lists of the People's Party of Kazakhstan - 9 candidates.
62 candidates were nominated to the regional maslikhat on the lists of 4 political parties;
48 candidates were nominated to the maslikhat of the city of Atyrau on 4 party lists;
There are 223 candidates in 27 lists of political parties nominated to district maslikhats.
The election campaign began on December 10, 2020 after 18.00. local time and ended on January 9, 2021 at 00.00 a.m. local time, January 9 is the day of silence.
Voting at polling stations will take place on January 10, 2021 from 7.00 a.m. to 8.00 p.m.
Information on voter turnout on election day is published every two hours on the CEC website election.gov.kz.
The results of the election of deputies of maslikhats are established by the relevant territorial election commission no later than five days from the day of the election.
Information about the voting results is announced on the websites of the respective territorial election commissions, in the media and during press conferences.
Registration of elected deputies of the maslikhat is carried out by the relevant territorial election commission.
