State Inspection for the Protection, Restoration and Use of the Historical and Cultural Heritage of the Atyrau Region
The enterprise was founded on May 5, 1992, by the decision of the akim of the region No. 116 as a regional inspection for the protection of monuments, in 1999 it was transferred to a public utility company.
The main activity of the enterprise is identification, accounting, protection, preservation, research and promotion of the historical and cultural heritage of our region. And also, it exercises state control over the state of use and the order of maintenance of monuments, the execution of works on conservation and regeneration, ensures the preservation and observance of the rules for the use of monuments.
Historical and cultural heritage includes all types of archaeological objects, structures and objects associated with the historical past of the people, the development of society and the state, historical and cultural landscapes, unique natural objects that are rare geological physiographic formations, works of material and spiritual culture that have a historical, scientific and artistic value.
The enterprise in its activities is guided by the Laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated July 2, 1992 No. 1488-XII "On the protection and use of historical and cultural heritage" and "On strengthening criminal and administrative liability for violation of legislation on the protection and use of historical and cultural heritage" dated October 28, 1993 No. 2493-XII. And also, conducts work on research and analysis of the heritage of the ancestors of the Atyrau area under the State Program "Cultural Heritage" for 2004-2006.
