The system of the sphere of culture and art of the Atyrau region consists of 247 institutions (1 theater, 2 concert organizations, 144 libraries, 82 club institutions, 15 museums, 1 center of folk art, 1 center for the study of historical and cultural heritage). There are 2,624 employees in the field of culture, of which 1,468 are creative people. In the region, 317 historical and cultural monuments are included in the state list.
