Theatrical art

The theater is a center of culture and art. The Academic Kazakh Drama Theater named after Makhambet is an important center of art in our region, moreover, one of the most beautiful architectural buildings of the regional center.

In 2019, the Youth Theater was opened at the Drama Theater. In 2020, the theatre's repertoire was replenished with 6 new performances; since the beginning of the year (not counting the quarantine time), 30 performances have been shown. The premieres of B.Show's drama "Cleopatra", "Aiman-Sholpan" by M.Auezov, N.Gogol's comedy "Marriage", I.Gayip's drama "Jean" were greeted by enthusiastic spectators.
