Information about the “Alley of Eternal Friendship between Kazakhstan and Russia”

Alley of Eternal Friendship between Kazakhstan and Russia is located in the central part of Astana, near the State Opera and Ballet Theatre “Astana Opera”. The site is a landscaped public space created as a symbol of cultural ties, friendship, and good-neighbourly relations between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation.

The official opening ceremony took place on 28 May 2025. The event was attended by the Minister of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aida Balayeva, the Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Olga Lyubimova, the Akim of Astana Zhenis Kassymbek, and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Kazakhstan Alexey Borodavkin. The ceremony was held as part of events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
