Forbidden forest strips along the banks of rivers, lakes, reservoirs and other water bodies — perform water protection functions on areas adjacent directly to the riverbeds and banks of reservoirs.
Protective forest strips along Railways and public roads of international and national significance — they include forests adjacent to the right-of-way lanes of existing and under construction Railways within 500 m in each direction from the railway bed, and forests adjacent to the right-of-way lane along public roads of international and national significance within 250 m in each direction from the road axis, and are designed to protect roads from snow drifts, erosion from meltwater and storm water, noise reduction and adverse aerodynamic effects.
