The land fund of Akmola region amounts to 14 613,2 thousand ha (the largest part of the region is Yerementau district – 1765,8 thousand ha, the smallest part is Kokshetau city - 42.5 thousand ha).
Agricultural lands occupy 74 % or 10 784,9 thousand hectares of the total structure of the land fund of the region.
The structure of land fund:
- lands of inhabited localities - 1 458,3 thousand ha;
- lands for industry, transport, communication and other non-agricultural purposes - 107,4 thousand ha;
- specially protected natural areas – 519,0 thousand ha;
- forest fund lands — 514,1 thousand ha;
- water fund lands — 200,8 thousand ha;
- reserved lands — 1027,5 thousand ha;
- land of Astana city - 1,2 thousand ha.
