The following activities are carried out in the sphere of entrepreneurship and industry:

- it forms and implements state policy in the field of entrepreneurship, ensures interaction in this sphere with public associations and other state and non-state structures;

- participates in the development, organization and coordination of the implementation of the program of support and development of entrepreneurship, contributes to the formation and formation of urban infrastructure for supporting entrepreneurship;

- coordination of foreign economic activity of business, promoting the establishment of scientific, technical, industrial and commercial relations with domestic and foreign partners that contribute to the development of entrepreneurship;

- consideration of requests from state bodies, organizations and citizens;

- organization of coverage of business issues in the mass media;

- participation in the organization and holding of forums, meetings and seminars on business issues;

- monitoring of business activities;

- coordination of the activities of trade, public catering and service enterprises in the city, regardless of their subordination and ownership forms, on the implementation of legal acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan, acts of the akimat and akim of the Akmola region and on issues related to the work of the State institution;

- preparation and participation in trade exhibitions, fairs, auctions, competitions and other events related to the development of trade;

- carrying out works on liquidation of trade in unspecified places, monitoring compliance with the maximum permissible retail prices for socially significant food products in accordance with the Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan «On administrative offenses» within the established competence.
