Today, creativity is in demand in all spheres of life. The development of the creative industry contributes to the development of the economy and the creation of new jobs. President Kassym-Jomart Kemelovich Tokayev stressed the importance of supporting young talents and instructed to develop more favorable conditions for the promotion of the industry.
All over the world, creative industries, including art, culture, media, design and technology, are becoming the most important driving forces of economic, social and cultural progress. This industry not only stimulates innovation and creativity, but also creates jobs, promotes economic growth and expands cultural diversity.
To date, more than 500 subjects have been registered in the region. The region is a leader in such areas as the tailoring of national clothes and accessories, the manufacture of musical instruments, jewelry, wood, bone and leather products.
In order to develop competitive contemporary art, various areas of craft creativity, as well as create conditions for training and mentoring talented people in the Akmola region, planned work is underway with representatives of the creative industry.
There are many examples, for example: within the framework of the Nauryznam decade, the open space Koshpendiler Murasy zone (exhibition and sale of DPI masters and concerts of folk folklore ensembles) was organized in the RIO shopping center for the first time with the participation of leading creators, and also traditionally took place on March 8 this year.

It is encouraging that grants and subsidies in the amount of about 200.0 million tenge are allocated annually in the region under the state program from the Damu Foundation.
Last year alone, the author of the project, Asset Baizholov, received a grant in the amount of 4.6 million tenge for the implementation of the intellectual game "Jeti Qazyna", and there were also state grants for aspiring entrepreneurs to implement business ideas within the framework of the Bastau project through career centers and coordination management.
The Department of Culture of the Akmola region is working to compile a map and register of subjects of creative industries. Training seminars on the commercialization of products and services for representatives of this field are planned throughout the year. As well as the creation of creative centers and hubs in every district and city of our region. Today, there is such a center in the city of Kokshetau, on the basis of the Saltanat Sarayy Palace, where an ethno workshop operates. This year, it is planned to open a Creative center in the Cultural and Leisure complex ofKosshy (construction at the expense of private investments), as well as in the museum building in the village of Zerenda, it is planned to house cluster residents who create architectural and design, tourism projects, photo, video and audio content, computer games, works of applied art, game and animated films. To support these areas, the cluster will be equipped with virtual film production studios based on advanced XR technology, computer graphics, color correction, mastering, sound mixing and 3D animation.
The positive and main advantage of such spaces is the opportunity to find partners, combine creative resources, create creative projects at the junction of different directions, and create an environment with a synergy effect. The main focus is to attract residents and guests, and to form a non–commodity economy in the republic.
For maximum comfort, the cluster will be created on the principle of a "City within a city" – with a full-fledged infrastructure for residents to live, work and relax.
For a large-scale event of the ethnocultural movement, as a legacy of human civilization, the akimat of the region constantly creates conditions for the participation of creators in fairs and exhibitions of international and national scale. Platforms have been set up for them to exhibit exhibitions and sell the products of the masters' work.
In February of this year, representatives of the Department of Culture as part of the Kazakh delegation took part in the summit of creative industries of the BRICS countries in Moscow.
To further support development in the region, grants and subsidies are being allocated to representatives of the creative industries within the framework of the Damu Foundation's state program. Statistics show that in 2023 alone, 4 grants were allocated in the amount of 13.5 million tenge. In 2024, 1 grant was allocated for an investment of 4.6 million tenge, and state grants for start-up entrepreneurs to implement business ideas within the framework of the Bastau project.
