In Akmola region there are 2 theatrical organizations - scce "Regional Kazakh music and drama theatre named Sachmet Khusainova" and GCE "Akmola regional Russian drama theatre" and 1 concert organization GCE "Akmola regional Philharmonic society of a name Akili Ibera".
The regional Kazakh musical and drama theater named after Shakhmet Kusainov was opened on March 6, 1996 with a performance based on the play "akan Seri-aktokty"by Gabit Musrepov. The Director of this performance is the honored worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan Zhakyp Omarov.
The first Director of the theater was honored worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan Muratbek Ukubayevich Ospanov, who brought young graduates of the Almaty Academy of arts named after T. Zhurgenov.

On February 8, 1977, the Kokchetav regional Committee of the Communist party of Kazakhstan at a meeting of the Bureau adopted a resolution "on the opening of the regional drama theater".

On October 28, 1977, the curtain was raised on the first theatrical season. The audience was presented the play "Intervention" by L. Slavin, directed by the chief Director of the theater, honored artist of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yakov Aronovich Kuklinsky.Karpenko-Kary, with a group of like-minded people came from Kostanay to Kokshetau, and created the Russian drama theater.
Ya. a. Kuklinsky served as permanent artistic Director of the theater for 20 years (1977-1997).
For services to the development of theatrical art by the decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the Kazakh SSR from 08.06.87, ya. a. Kuklinsky was awarded the honorary title "Honored artist of the Kazakh SSR".

From November 2001 to January 2014, Director and artistic Director of the theater — honored artist of the Republic of Kazakhstan Valery Tarasov, who graduated from the Russian theater Academy in Moscow in 1984 (economist, theater critic, head of theater business). Under his leadership, the theater has achieved significant success, and the repertoire has included large significant paintings of Russian, foreign and Kazakh dramaturgy. The theater has come out of oblivion to the level of a successful one that meets the requirements of modernity and can fully participate in the theatrical life of the Republic and beyond.

The Akmola regional Philharmonic society in Kokshetau was established on December 7, 1946. The decision of the Kokshetau regional Executive Committee of the Council of people's deputies No. 33/5 "On orazovaniya regional kontsertno-variety Bureau," based on the jazz orchestra and a concert of the Kazakh brigade created regional concert-pop Bureau.
On the basis of order No. 152 L of June 1, 1963 of the Ministry of culture of KAZ.SSR regional kontsertno-variety Bureau is renamed the Kokchetav branch of the "Clintoncare".
On December 1, 1965, by order No. 91 of the Department of culture, the Kokchetav state regional Philharmonic was organized. Since that time, the Kokchetav state regional Philharmonic has been an independent creative concert organization.
Theaters continue to play a key role in preserving and promoting cultural heritage. There are 2 state theaters in the Akmola region (254 specialists, 79 of them are creative staff). Khusainov "Madeniyet salasyn uzdigi" Kairat Myrzabolatov was awarded in the nomination "Best male episodic role" at the republican theater festival "Yertis-Bayan", dedicated to the 135th anniversary of J.Aimautova.
As part of the III International Theater Festival "ABISH ALEMI", dedicated to the 85th anniversary of Abish Kekilbayev, the play "The Stationmaster" of the Akmola Regional Russian Drama Theater was awarded the nomination "Best Director" and "Best Performance", and also received the TURKSOY award.
In addition, a talented theater actress, "Madeniyet salasyn uzdigi" Nurgul Ryspaevna was awarded the honorary medal "Uly dalanyn zhangar Tulgasy" at the festival, and the director of the theater, Honored Worker of Kazakhstan Beibit Salauatovich, was awarded the medal "For Services to the culture of the Turkic world".

The Akmola Regional Philharmonic named after Ukili Ybyrai is a concert organization (staff 216.5), which successfully operates 3 orchestras; Kazakh folk instruments named after K. Kumisbekov, Symphonic and Pop brass; dance ensemble "Gakku", chamber music ensemble, theater studio "BIPL", folklore ensemble "Ainakol", ethno-folk The Orda group, the Chamber Choir, the creative department of soloists, including "Kazakstannyn enbek sinirgen kayratkeri" by Zhamil Zharkimbayev, "Kazakstannyn enbek sinirgen artis" by Bisar Makenov, Mara Esmukhanova.
