Akmola residents were told about measures to ensure fire safety
Since April, a fire-dangerous period has begun in the region on the territory of the forest fund. Local authorities are taking all necessary measures to prevent and eliminate forest-steppe fires, the Department of Internal Policy reports.
According to the Department of Emergency Situations, the risk of wildfires increases dramatically in spring and summer. Most often, fires occur due to unattended bonfires, abandoned cigarette butts and matches, sparks from vehicle silencers, burning grass, left glass fragments that work as lenses. Much less often, they are caused by lightning discharges and spontaneous combustion.
"In general, 206 units of equipment, 3 fire-pumping stations, 300 knapsack fire extinguishers, 98 motor pumps and 800 firecrackers have been prepared for the current season. 208 voluntary fire-fighting units have been established in localities. Inspections were also carried out at summer recreation facilities for children and adolescents, boarding houses and sanatoriums located in dangerous territories and forests," the head of the department, Nurlan Atygayev, said at a briefing.
One of the most effective methods of timely detection of forest fires has become space monitoring, air and ground patrols. The special zone of the air patrol includes 5 districts of the region - Zerendinsky, Sandyktau, Burabaysky, Bulandinsky, Akkol, where the air groups of JSC "Kazavialesookhrana" work around the clock. Every day, 56 mobile groups conduct raids on violations of fire safety. A total of 355 raids were conducted. 49 persons were brought to administrative responsibility.
Recall that the guilty persons will be brought to administrative responsibility under Articles 336 and 367 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Kazakhstan
