The municipal state institution "Center for Analysis and Development of Interfaith Relations" (hereinafter referred to as KSU TSARMO) of the Department for Religious Affairs of the Akmola region was established by the decree of the Akimat of the Akmola region dated December 27, 2013 No. A-12/576.
The institution carries out the following activities:
1) organization and conduct of methodological and practical events (lectures, training seminars and other informational, explanatory and preventive measures) aimed at countering religious extremism and pseudo-religious activities at the regional and republican levels;
2) providing psychological, legal and practical assistance in the rehabilitation of victims affected by the effects of radical, destructive and totalitarian cults, including the provision of advisory assistance, as well as the provision of emergency psychological assistance to persons who have contacted the helpline;
3) providing methodological, organizational and practical assistance to social movements and associations in organizing and conducting measures to counter religious extremism in the Akmola region;
4) conducting sociological research to identify negative trends in the interfaith sphere of the region;
5) organization and holding of various cultural, educational and educational events;
6) information-analytical and scientific-methodological support at the request of interested state bodies, organizations by publishing educational and methodological literature, newsletters, special printed publications;
7) interaction with scientific organizations, institutions, public associations, national cultural centers, higher educational institutions and other relevant legal entities in the development of scientific research in the field of religion to ensure the activities of state bodies on issues within the competence of the institution;
8) conducting training seminars for senior officials and specialists of state bodies, representatives of religious denominations in the Republic of Kazakhstan and other target groups on religious issues, countering religious extremism and terrorism and other issues within the competence of the institution;
9) study and analysis of religious literature, religious objects;
10) conducting counter-propaganda activities and monitoring electronic (including Internet sites) and print media (systematization and analysis);
11) interaction with the information and explanatory group on religious issues of the Department of Religious Affairs of the Akmola region on the promotion of state policy in the field of religious tolerance, patriotism, anti-terrorist and anti-extremist consciousness.
