The department provides the development of archival affairs in Akmola region, as well as legal support and financial and administrative activities of the Department of digitalization and archives of Akmola region.
In the field of archival affairs, the department coordinates the work of State Archives, monitors the storage, accounting and use of documents of the national archival fund of the Republic of Kazakhstan, promotes the introduction of information technologies and the transfer of documents to digital format. The department also organizes methodological support for archival institutions and coordinates the provision of state services for the issuance of archival certificates, copies of archival documents and archival extracts.
The archive network of Akmola region includes 18 district archives, one city archive and one regional archive.
Within the framework of administrative, legal and financial support, the department conducts legal expertise of documents, ensures compliance with the requirements of legislation in the activities of the Department, maintains accounting records and prepares financial statements, as well as monitors the targeted and effective use of budget funds.
