The department exercises state control over the quality of communication services, compliance with legislation in the field of informatization, information security and personal data protection. The main tasks of the department include monitoring the level of protection of State Information Systems, monitoring the reliability and relevance of electronic information resources, as well as coordinating work on the placement of open data.
The department also considers appeals of citizens and organizations on issues falling within its competence and takes appropriate measures within the framework of the powers granted to ensure compliance with the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
According to paragraph 611 of the Register of Public Services approved by the order of the acting The Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated January 31, 2020 No. 39/NK, the issuance of a permit for aerial survey work is a public service.The procedure for this public service is regulated in accordance with the Rules for the Provision of Public services "Registration, Accounting and issuance of Permits for Aerial survey work", approved by Order No. 131/NK of the Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated April 9, 2020.
At the same time, a permit for aerial survey work is not a licensed type of activity, since according to paragraph 205 of Annex 2 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Permits and Notifications" dated May 16, 2014 refers to permits of the second category

- Do not store your digital signature on your computer.
- Set a complex password and do not pass it to anyone.
