Currently, the confessional sphere of the Bulandy district is represented by religious associations of Muslim and Christian trends. 

The general state of development of the religious situation in the district is characterized as favorable. There are 7 places of worship, including 1 mosque, 1 Orthodox Church, 1 Catholic Church, 4 Protestant houses of prayer. 1 room has been agreed for holding events outside the religious buildings (namazkhana). A plot of land has been allocated for the construction of an Orthodox church on the territory of the city of Makinsk. In addition, there is a house of prayer in which an unregistered community of Evangelical Christians-Baptists holds services.

4 missionaries carry out missionary activity: 3 people from Poland, 1 - a citizen of Kazakhstan. 

For the organization and conduct of preventive information and explanatory activities among the population and adherents of non-traditional religious movements in the Bulandy district for 2024, 1 million tenge was allocated from the local budget as part of the state social order.

The members of the information and explanatory group on religious issues of the Bulandy district on an ongoing basis carry out information and explanatory work among school students, youth, employees of budgetary organizations, civil servants, believers, self-employed people to improve religious literacy.
