The industrial production of the district is mainly represented by small businesses with up to 50 employees, medium-sized businesses with up to 50 employees, and one particularly large enterprise Makinskaya Poultry Farm LLP.

MANUFACTURING ENTERPRISES:

Makinskaya Poultry Farm LLP - production of poultry meat, with a capacity of 80,000 tons per year, taking into account the 3rd stage.

The poultry farm uses the best modern technologies in the field of incubation, cultivation, slaughter and processing of slaughterhouse waste using technological equipment from world manufacturers, taking into account European requirements for the quality of the finished product, and humane treatment of live birds, taking into account the standards of the Halal standard

The enterprise was implemented within the framework of the Unified Industrialization Map of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The enterprise includes 16 broiler farms, a feed production shop, a meat and bone department, a hatchery, and a slaughter shop. The company employs more than 1900 people.

LLP Makinsky Thermal Insulation Plant - production of mineral wool board based on basalt. This enterprise was put into operation in December 2017 as part of the state program "Business Road Map - 2020". The plant is the only enterprise in Central Asia for the production of mineral wool products. The production capacity is 34 thousand tons of products per year. To date, the company employs 162 people.

LLP "Makinsky Foundry and Mechanical Plant" - the enterprise was founded in 2004 on the basis of the UPTOK of the Steppe PGO of the USSR Ministry of Geology (founded in 1956), specialized in the production of spare parts for machines and mechanisms used in the production of drilling and mining exploration work. The managing company of MLMZ is Tran Logistics LLP. The number of employees is 41 people.

The technical equipment of the enterprise is turning, gear cutting, drilling, milling, horizontal boring, gear shaping, gear rounding, thread grinding, broaching machine.

Manufactured products today are spare parts for railway transport.

  TransTechMachLTD LLP, the enterprise was put into operation in 2014 within the framework of the State program for financing industrial and innovative work, is included in the Industrialization Map. The area of the enterprise is 6.2 hectares. The enterprise is equipped with equipment (autoclave) for the impregnation of sleepers. The activity of the enterprise is the impregnation and shipment of wooden sleepers, types 1 and 2. The production capacity is 300,000 pieces per year. The company employs 20 people.

LLP "KazCHP" (Kazakhstan Technological Operational Center). The type of activity of the enterprise is the production of shock absorber gaskets, rubber boots. The enterprise was put into operation in 2014. The production capacity is 5 million pieces per year of gaskets and 15,000 pairs of rubber boots.

Zhalair Bulandy LLP - the type of activity of this enterprise is construction and installation works, wood processing, furniture manufacturing. The company was founded in 2002. LLP is engaged in the manufacture of furniture, mainly to order from the population. Building materials and structures are also produced. In addition, this enterprise carries out activities for the repair and reconstruction of buildings and structures. Currently, the company employs 12 people.

LLP "Zhaltyr Tas" (former "Bulandy Aerated Concrete") - the type of activity of this enterprise is the production of gas blocks. The enterprise was launched in test mode in March 2021. At the moment, the company operates in the current mode. The capacity of the enterprise is 50,000 tons per year. The company employs 70 people.

LLP "Bota-2015" - a plant for processing sunflower seeds, flax and rapeseed, with a capacity of 600 tons per day. The plant was launched in January 2022. More than 60 permanent jobs have been created at the enterprise. The implementation of this project was carried out within the framework of the Support Card for Entrepreneurs of the Akmola Region.

MINING ENTERPRISES:

This industry is represented by one enterprise LLP "Makinsky stone quarry" (former "Bulandy stone quarry"). Date of establishment of the enterprise 2001. Since March 2001, the main activity of the LLP has been the extraction and processing of building stone. Makinsky Stone Quarry LLP is developing the Sopka-2 granite deposit (western part), which is the raw material base of the crushing and screening plant available at the enterprise.

Technical equipment of the enterprise: DSZ production line made in China, EKG-5 excavators - 3 pieces, diesel locomotive TGM - 1 and

TGM -2. The company employs 43 people.

Small and medium business entities

As of July 2023, the share of registered SMEs is 1811 units or 112.8%, the number of operating units is 1641 units or 114.3%.

The structure of operating entities is dominated by the share of individual entrepreneurs - 85.9% (1234 units), peasant (farmer) households

16.7% (241 units), small and medium 11.7% (168 units
