In education, the following work: organize the forecasting of educational needs, develops strategy of development of the education system in cooperation with the Executive bodies of the administration, creates the city program of development of education; analyzes the state of education systems and the level of satisfaction of educational needs of the population, provides control over execution of the legislation of the RK in the field of education compliance with state educational standards; organizes the purchase and delivery of textbooks and teaching AIDS to educational organizations that implement General educational programs of pre-school training, secondary education organizations in the amount predicted by the educational authorities for the academic year; allocates funds to provide financial and material assistance to students and pupils of public institutions of education of families eligible for state social assistance, as well as from families that do not receive state targeted social assistance, in which per capita income below the subsistence minimum, and to children-orphans, children left without parental care living in families, children of families requiring emergency care in emergency situations, and other categories of students and pupils, in the amount of not less than one percent of the total amount of budget funds allocated for the current maintenance of General education schools and for placing state educational orders for secondary education in state enterprises on the right of economic management; provides state support for orphans, children left without parental care, their mandatory employment and housing in accordance with the established procedure; organizes, in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, medical care for students and pupils of educational organizations, with the exception of pre-school organizations and secondary education organizations that are not related to residential organizations; organizes, in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, free and reduced-price meals for certain categories of students and pupils
