Systematic efforts are being carried out in the Almaty Region to develop the cultural sector. Currently, the region’s network of cultural and archival institutions includes 298 facilities. These comprise 122 cultural centers and clubs, 145 libraries, 16 museums, 11 archives, and 4 regional cultural institutions serving the public.
