on the ongoing work on the implementation of Standard Basic Direction № 4 «Prevention and combating corruption»
for the first quarter of 2024
Certain work is being carried out on an ongoing basis in the Almaty region to prevent corruption.
Templates have been created for the implementation of the Standard Basic Direction № 4 «Prevention and Combating Corruption» into the Eas Project system.
A schedule for conducting an internal analysis of corruption risks in the activities of regional administrations and quasi-governmental organizations for 2024 has been developed.
According to the approved schedule for conducting an internal analysis of corruption risks, an internal analysis was conducted in 63 state bodies and subjects of the quasi-public sector (11 departments, 49 state bodies of the district level, 3 quasi-public sectors).
10 corruption risks have been identified, and measures are being taken to eliminate them.
In order to implement the tasks of strengthening the anti-corruption culture, an Action Plan has been developed for the implementation of the project «Strengthening the anti-corruption culture» for 2024.

According to the schedule, the work is carried out and the author's articles of the heads of regional departments and district akims are published.
A pool of journalists and bloggers specializing in legal issues has been created. Since the beginning of the year, more than 10 articles have been published on this topic: “Directions for the eradication of corruption», «Specialist's Department», «It is important to know», etc.
The Ethics Commissioner has been actively involved in the implementation of Standard Basic Direction-4.
During the reporting period, the Ethics Commissioner of the Almaty region held 16 explanatory meetings (including individual consultations) for civil servants.
Preventive work was carried out with 24 civil servants holding positions subject to corruption.
Infographics are posted on all official websites of akimats of districts, cities and their pages on social networks. There are special anti-corruption stickers and stickers in public places and buses.
In order to form an anti-corruption culture, handouts explaining responsibility for corruption violations are distributed among the population.
Further work will be carried out according to the action plan for information work with decomposition at the level of various target groups in the Almaty region for 2023-2025.
