The main tasks are to implement the state policy in the field of architecture and urban development, to prepare proposals for the development of methods of state regulation of architectural and urban development activities in the region, to prepare proposals for the development and improvement of state regulations on architecture and urban development in the Republic of Kazakhstan. In addition, the development of regional programs on priority areas of development and sustainable development of inter-settlement territories and localities, taking into account the preservation of valuable architectural and urban heritage, the development of national and cultural traditions in architecture and urban planning.
To date, the availability of master plans for settlements in Almaty region is 100 (100%) and adjustments are made as needed. The availability of detailed planning projects in the region is 40.2% (40.2%).
