The main direction of work is the implementation of state regulation in the field of religious activity and interaction with religious associations.

Main tasks:

1) conducting analysis and monitoring of the religious situation and conducting information and explanatory work in the field of religion;

2) strengthening interfaith harmony and interaction of the state with religious associations, monitoring the implementation of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the religious sphere;

3) study of religious problems in the territory of Almaty region.
