2799 doctors and 9109 nurses work in medical institutions of the region. The provision of doctors per 10 thousand population is 18.80 (RK–24.1), average medical workers – 61.17 (RK-64.8). 5435 beds were deployed, the provision of beds per 10 thousand population – 36.5 (RK-59.6).
