The number of accounts in the UAPF exceeded 11.6 million
Key UAPF indicators for June 1, 2020
By the end of five months of 2020, the number of individual pension accounts in the Unified accumulative pension Fund has increased by almost 1 million units. On the first of January of this year, the number of IPS was 10,672,567 units, and by June 1 it reached 11.6 million (11,682,546).
The largest number of accounts opened for mandatory pension contributions (OPV) – more than eleven million of them, or rather 11,111,389. Then there are accounts formed from mandatory professional pension contributions (PPI) - 515,837, and the number of voluntary pension contributions (VPI) is growing, such accounts in the UAPF are now 55,320.
In total, pension savings in the amount of 11.7 trillion tenge were formed on the accounts. since the beginning of the year, the amount has increased by 866 billion tenge or 8%.
The main amount of pension savings was formed at the expense of OPV and amounted to 11.4 trillion tenge. The amount of pension savings under the PPI amounted to 275.6 billion tenge (an increase of 12% since the beginning of the year), the amount of pension savings under the PPI exceeded 2.1 billion tenge (an increase of 7 %).
Since the beginning of 2020, pension contributions in the total amount of 428.2 billion tenge have been received on the accounts of depositors, which exceeded the indicators for the first 5 months of 2019 by 12%. Of the total amount of contributions, more than 95% of the total amount is received by the UAPF in the form of OPV - 408 billion tenge, OPV-over 20 billion tenge, and DPV-134 million tenge.
Payments amounted to 62.4 billion tenge, most of which were for payments for age (24.7 billion tenge), for permanent residence outside the Republic of Kazakhstan (14.2 billion tenge), transfers to insurance organizations (13.3 billion tenge), heirs (8.6 billion tenge), burial (0.9 billion tenge).
Since the beginning of 2020, as of June 1, more than 499 billion tenge of net investment income has been accrued to the accounts of UAPF depositors, which is 272.4 billion tenge more than in the same period last year. The return on pension assets over the past 12 months was 8.9%, with inflation at 6.7%, meaning the real return on pension assets is positive.
UAPF was established on August 22, 2013 on the basis of JSC " NPF "GNPF". The founder and shareholder of the UAPF is the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan represented by the state property and privatization Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The national Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan provides trust management of pension assets of the UAPF. Since January 1, 2016, the functions of developing proposals for improving the efficiency of pension assets management have been transferred to the National Fund management Council. In accordance with the pension legislation, the UAPF attracts mandatory pension contributions, mandatory professional pension contributions, voluntary pension contributions, pension payments, individual accounting of pension savings and payments, and provides the depositor (recipient) with information about the status of his / her pension savings (for more information, see www.enpf.kz)
