Chairman of “UAPF” JSC spoke at the ISSA International Conference
Chairman of the "Unified Accumulative Pension Fund" Joint Stock Company Zhanat Kurmanov took part online in the 16th ISSA International Conference on Information and Communication Technology in Social Security on the theme "Digital transformation for adaptable and people centric social security", held in Tallinn, Estonia in early May.
The head of the Kazakhstan accumulative pension fund spoke with a presentation "Customer-centered mobile apps: Building e-services around beneficiaries", in which he especially emphasized the development of web services and digitized channels of interaction of the UAPF with contributors (beneficiaries), integration with second-tier banks, spoke about the functionality of the mobile app, etc. You can learn more about it by clicking on the link (...Here will be an active link...)
At the moment, contributors (beneficiaries) receive over 93% of UAPF services in a convenient electronic format. The Fund's services can be obtained just in a minutes, without leaving home on the website and in the UAPF mobile application. Contributors and beneficiaries can at anytime and anywhere obtain a statement of an individual pension saving account, make changes and additions to their details, obtain a confirmation letter of the presence of IPSA, fill an application for the appointment of pension benefits in connection with the establishment of disability of group 1 or 2 indefinitely, as well as for voluntary pension contributions, tracking the status of benefit applications and more.
In addition, Zhanat Kurmanov shared information about the developed advisory services of the Fund. Contributors can get an opinion in the call center, on the corporate website enpf.kz, via chatbot in WhatsApp and Viber, on the official pages of the UAPF on such social networks as Instagram, Facebook, VKontakte, Twitter, Telegram and Odnoklassniki.
Recall that the cooperation of the UAPF and ISSA covers many other issues. At the beginning of May 2022, the results of the competition for the ISSA Good Practice Award for Europe 2022 were summed up. The international Organization noted with a Certificate of Merit with special mention the success of our Fund in expanding the coverage of the defined contribution pension system based on equal access, state-of-the-art information and communication technologies adoption and improving financial literacy of the population. The ISSA Award is an honorable reward for hard work and success in improving the working methods of social security institutions with purpose of achieving excellence in this area. It recognizes the best practices in social security management carried out by ISSA member organizations and provides a unique opportunity for institutions to present their important administrative initiatives and innovative solutions to a global audience.
UAPF was established on August 22, 2013 on the basis of GNPF APF JSC. The UAPF founder and shareholder is the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan represented by the State Institution “Committee of State Property and Privatization” of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan. UAPF pension assets are managed by the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan. From January 1, 2016, the functions for developing proposals to improve the management of pension assets were transferred to the National Fund Management Council.
In accordance with the pension legislation, the UAPF attracts compulsory pension contributions, compulsory occupational pension contributions, voluntary pension contributions, pension benefits, individual accounting of pension accumulations and benefits, provides the contributor (beneficiary) with information on the status of his pension accumulations (for more information visit www.enpf.kz).
