1. In its activities, it is guided by the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Laws “On Public Service”, “On Combating Corruption”, “On Administrative Procedures”, “On the Procedure for Considering Appeals of Individuals and Legal Entities”, “On the Language”, regulatory legal acts of the President of the Republic Kazakhstan and the Government, as well as this regulation.
2. It implements the State Program for the Development and Support of Languages, carries out activities to implement the tasks arising from the coordination of the language policy in the region - in state bodies, enterprises and organizations, to study compliance with the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Languages in the Republic of Kazakhstan" and language issues politicians.
3. Functions:
- ensuring the organization of the implementation of the Law "On Languages in the Republic of Kazakhstan" and monitoring;
- participation in the preparation of regional programs for the development of languages, preparation of proposals to improve the effectiveness of the state language policy and comprehensive measures to expand the use of the state language;
- preparation of recommendations on elimination of violations of the requirements of the legislation on languages;
- making suggestions to the management on the application of disciplinary measures to officials who committed violations of the law of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
- improving the organization of activities of state bodies in the field of language policy;
- organization and holding of seminars, conferences, competitions and many other events on language policy issues;
- monitoring the progress of implementation and the conditions of the language policy in the media;
- writing articles in the print media on language issues, studying published materials, ensuring the creation of a database;
- coordination of language policy in regional state institutions, regions, cities, participation in the development of the state language, research of public opinion on the use of the state language and preparation of materials;
- analysis of the work of educational – methodical center “Language” and its branches, monitoring of students, implementation of the “Kaztest” system;
