conducting a course of the School of financial journalism within the framework of active information and explanatory work among the population aimed at improving financial literacy, as well as awareness about the services of the UAPF, about the pension system and changes in pension legislation.
Lectures on financial literacy have already become a good tradition, and despite the pandemic of coronavirus infection, they continue to educate media representatives, but in an online format. The main target audience of the school are journalists, bloggers and students of journalism faculties, because they play a key role in informing the population.
The event was held in a virtual space. The participants of the school received a lot of useful information and received answers to the questions asked. In just two days of the school, the school gathered about 100 participants in Kazakh and Russian.
The training modules on various topics were presented to the participants in the course program:
- The pension system of Kazakhstan and the activities of UAPF JSC;
- demographic trends and the need for a cumulative component;
- changes in pension legislation regarding the use of lump-sum pension payments (EPO) and the transfer of pension savings into trust management (UIP);
- changes in the part of voluntary pension contributions (DPV);
- pension provision in the countries (EAEU);
- UAPF digital services;
- information work of the UAPF.
In addition, together with the National Bank of Kazakhstan, a module on the Management of pension assets of the NBK was presented.
Recall that this year there have been large-scale changes in the accumulative pension system, and the specialists of the UAPF during the training helped the participants of the school to understand complex financial indicators and statistical data, legislative changes and much more. Let's hope that the training will help in the creation of bright and reliable journalistic materials, as well as in the information and explanatory work of the Foundation.
