Key indicators of the UAPF as of April 1, 2021
As of April 1, 2021, pension savings in the amount of 12.6 trillion tenge were formed on the accounts of depositors of the Unified Accumulative Pension Fund. For the year, that is, from 01.04.2020 to 01.04.2021, the amount increased by almost 1 trillion tenge or 8%.
The main amount of pension savings was formed at the expense of mandatory pension contributions (OPV) and amounted to 12.3 trillion tenge (an increase of 8% over the year). The amount of pension savings on mandatory professional pension contributions (PPI) amounted to 315.9 billion tenge (an increase of 16%), the amount of pension savings on voluntary pension contributions (DPV) amounted to 2.2 billion tenge (an increase of 8%).
In the three months of 2021, UAPF depositors contributed more funds than in the same period last year. As of April 1, 2021, the accounts of depositors received pension contributions in the total amount of about 299 billion tenge, which exceeded the figure for the same period in 2020 by 37.1 billion or 14%. Of the total amount of contributions, 95.3% are receipts to the UAPF for OPV - 285 billion tenge (an increase of 14%), 13.8 billion tenge (an increase of 13%) was received for OPV, 163 million tenge (an increase of 68%) was transferred for DPV. In just three months, more than 19.7 million contributions were made, most of them accounted for by legal entities 16.4 million contributions (83.3% of the total number of contributions), 2.8 million contributions came from individuals (14.2%) and 467 thousand contributions (2.5%) came from a Single Aggregate Payment (ESP).
It is important to note that the growth of pension savings also occurred due to net investment income, which from January 1 to April 1, 2021 amounted to 358.2 billion tenge.
The number of individual pension accounts in the UAPF as of April 1, 2021 amounted to 11.6 million units (an increase of 9% over the year). The largest number of accounts opened for mandatory pension contributions (OPV) – 11,056,150 (an increase of 10% over the year). Next are the accounts formed at the expense of the OPV - 519,358 (an increase of 1%), the number of accounts at the expense of the DPV in the UAPF is now 45,094 units.
Payments from the Fund have increased significantly, primarily due to one-time pension payments (EPOS) for improving housing conditions and medical treatment. In just three months of 2021, UAPF depositors were paid more than 1.03 trillion tenge, most of the payments amounted to 952.4 billion tenge EPO. The second largest amount of payments were transfers to insurance organizations-they amounted to about 26 billion tenge. This is followed by: payments for age - 24.2 billion tenge, inheritance-17.8 billion tenge, in connection with the departure for permanent residence outside the Republic of Kazakhstan - 7.4 billion tenge, for burial - 1.2 billion tenge and disability payments-0.6 billion tenge.
It is worth noting that the amount of the average monthly payment according to the schedule (in connection with the achievement of retirement age) the maximum amount of the monthly payment was 29,080 tenge, and the maximum amount of the monthly payment was 522,610 tenge.
