Open Day in online format
The Open Day has already become a traditional event for contributors and beneficiaries of the Unified Accumulative Pension Fund. However, due to the coronavirus infection (Covid-19) pandemic, it was impossible to meet with the contributors in the branches of the fund, and the staff of UAPF moved it to the virtual space.
Each contributor of the Fund has the opportunity to join the Open Doors Day using the online platform without leaving home or work place.
The theme of the event is "Your First Contribution - Welcome to UAPF". Based on this, the target audience was about 1 million new investors of the Fund, whose individual pension saving accounts were opened in automatic mode. Let us recall that from January 8, 2019, in accordance with the amendments made to the Law on Pension Provision of the Republic of Kazakhstan, an individual does not need to contact the UAPF service offices to open an individual pension saving account (IPSA) for accounting for compulsory pension contributions (CPC). The account is opened automatically upon receipt of the first contribution. In this case, the identification of an individual is carried out according to personal data (full name, IIN, date of birth) specified in the electronic format of the payment order when transferring the CPC, and all the necessary information about the details of the current identity document of an individual about the place of permanent residence of UAPF receives from information systems of state bodies. As a result, with the help of an automated process, 398,376 CPC accounts were opened in 2019, and this figure has grown by 1 million new accounts this year. In this case, a personal appeal to the Fund automatically becomes a way of obtaining information about the state of the IPSA.
Each of those who joined the event received detailed advice from the UAPF specialists on all issues of interest, and also learned about various modern and operational methods of informing. For example, they learned about the official website enpf.kz or a mobile application for Android and IOS systems where any contributor can get a statement on IPSA, see the current indicators of pension assets, the details of contracts and much more.
The event was held throughout the country with a high attendance, each of the contributors was satisfied with the answers to the questions asked about the pension system, and noted the creativity of the Fund's employees in finding a new format for the Open Day.
UAPF was established on August 22, 2013 on the basis of GNPF APF JSC. The UAPF founder and shareholder is the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan represented by the State Institution “Committee of State Property and Privatization” of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan. UAPF pension assets are managed by the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan. From January 1, 2016, the functions for developing proposals to improve the management of pension assets were transferred to the National Fund Management Council. In accordance with the pension legislation, the UAPF attracts compulsory pension contributions, compulsory occupational pension contributions, voluntary pension contributions, pension benefits, individual accounting of pension accumulations and benefits, provides the contributor (beneficiary) with information on the status of his pension accumulations (for more information visit www.enpf.kz)
