Apply for a pension in a timely manner
In the life of every person comes the "Golden autumn" - the time of contemplation and well-deserved rest. Many people are looking forward to this day, but there are also those who forget about this day in their daily worries or postpone the trip to get a pension "for later". Why this should be done in a timely manner, we learned from the Director of the branch of JSC "United accumulative pension Fund" in Almaty, Amrenov Nurlan Slyambekovich.
- (First name and patronymic of the branch Director), when and where should a person who has reached retirement age apply?
- In connection with reaching the retirement age established by law and going on a well-deserved rest, recipients for the appointment of pension payments should contact the PSC at their place of residence or through the e-government web portal using EDS.
- Is it for payments only from the UAPF or can I apply for state pension payments?
- Previously, this was done by submitting two separate applications: people applied to the UAPF for payment of pension savings, and the PSC for the appointment of a state pension. But since October 2018, the so-called "composite" service has been introduced for submitting a single application to the PSC for assigning age pension payments from the state budget and the EPPF.
"It's very convenient!" When should I do this?
- You can submit an application and documents to the PSC for receiving a pension 10 calendar days before the day of reaching retirement age.
This is especially important for receiving the state pension, since it is necessary to verify the presence of seniority on the documents submitted, also in law, the purpose of old-age pensions and state basic pension payment is from the date of application. The day of application is considered the day of registration of the application and the necessary documents in the State Corporation (PSC).
We remind that the age pension can be received by persons who have reached the General retirement age in our Republic: men-63 years; women who have reached 59.5 years since January 1, 2020 (every year the retirement age of women increases, until in 2027 it will equal the age of men).
Also, persons with disabilities of the first and second groups, if the disability is established indefinitely, who have pension savings in the UAPF, formed at the expense of mandatory pension contributions and mandatory occupational pension contributions, can apply for pension payments to the UAPF.
- You mentioned people with disabilities of the first and second groups, they also need to come to the PSC?
- Persons with disabilities of the first and second groups, if the disability is established for an indefinite period, must apply to the UAPF units for the appointment of payments or submit an application via the UAPF website using EDS. In PSCs, applications for payment from the UAPF in connection with the established disability of groups 1 and 2 are not accepted indefinitely.
- Let's say a person doesn't have a lot of savings in the UAPF, can they get them at the same time?
- Yes, this can be done if the amount of pension savings on the date of application does not exceed the twelve-fold amount of the minimum pension established by the law on the Republican budget for the corresponding financial year. Since 01.04.2020 the minimum pension amount is 40,441 tenge, then a lump-sum payment is made if the individual pension account has the amount of pension savings in the range of 485,292 tenge.
- What are the statistics on payments to date and have they been affected by quarantine measures?
- Since the beginning of 2020, as of June 1, 2020, about 741.5 thousand payments were made from the UAPF in connection with reaching the retirement age and establishing disability of the first and second groups indefinitely for a total amount of about 25 billion tenge.
Quarantine measures do not affect pension payments from the UAPF, since the pension capital was formed throughout the entire working life, and payments are made strictly according to the established schedule for each recipient until the retirement savings are exhausted.
During the state of emergency, along with others, the state revised such indicators as the value of the subsistence minimum, and accordingly, the amount of the minimum monthly payment from the UAPF, which should not be lower than 54% of the PM, increased from 16,838,82 tenge to 17,640.72 tenge.
- On this optimistic note, we conclude our interview. Thanks!
