1) Protection, protection, use of the forest Fund, forest reproduction and afforestation;

2) organize and ensure the protection, protection, reproduction of forests and afforestation, regulate forest use on the territory of the state forest Fund, which is under its functional jurisdiction;

3) develop, approve and implement annual action plans for the prevention and control of forest fires on the territory of the state forest Fund;

4) determines the procedure for attracting individuals and legal entities, as well as fire-fighting equipment, transport and other means of organizations to extinguish forest fires, provides individuals involved in this work with means of transportation, fire fighting, food and medical care;

5) provides assistance to the functioning of voluntary fire-fighting units in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

6) creates a reserve of fuel and lubricants for the fire season in the forest to extinguish fires on the territory of the state forest Fund;

7) ensures control over the burning of stubble, stubble and other plant residues in agricultural fields, pastures and hayfields, as well as the annealing of herbaceous vegetation in the territories adjacent to the forest Fund by peasant and farm enterprises and other agricultural organizations;

8) organizes fire-fighting propaganda, regular media coverage of issues related to forest conservation and compliance with fire safety rules in forests;

9) organize work on the territory of the forest Fund to combat pests and diseases of the forest and improve its sanitary condition;

10) develops a draft resolution of the regional akimat for making a decision on prohibiting the stay of individuals on the territory of the state forest Fund, on restricting the right of forest use during aviation chemical, aviation biological and aerosol measures to combat pests and diseases of the forest, as well as during periods of high fire danger in the forest;

11) prepares materials on state accounting of the forest Fund, state forest cadastre, state monitoring of forests under its functional jurisdiction for submission to the authorized body;

12) accepts completed objects and finished products produced as a result of forest management activities in the areas of the state forest Fund that are under its functional jurisdiction;

13) develops draft rates of payment for forest use on the plots of the state forest Fund (with the exception of rates for wood sold on the root);

14) organizes and conducts tenders for the provision of forest resources for long-term forest use in the areas of the state forest Fund that are under its functional jurisdiction, with the participation of the authorized body and the local representative body of the region;

15) suspends, restricts, terminates the right of forest use in the areas of the state forest Fund, as well as works that pose a threat to the state and reproduction of forests, in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the forests that are under its functional jurisdiction;

16) provides forest users with plots for construction objects on the lands of the state forest Fund under its jurisdiction, where forest resources are provided for long-term forest use for health, recreation, historical and cultural, tourist and sports purposes; hunting needs; secondary forest use;

17) performs state registration of contracts for long-term and short-term forest use on the plots of the state forest Fund.
