According to the "Rules of assignment or extension of the status of Candace" approved by the order of the Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated July 22, 2013 No. 329-O-M, through the branch of the non-profit joint stock company "State Corporation " Government for Citizens" in the Almaty region, ethnic Kazakhs who arrived from abroad are provided with the state service "Assignment or the extension of the status of candace."
Since the beginning of this year, 910 ethnic Kazakhs (638 families) have been granted the status of "kandas", including:
- 676 people (473 families) from Uzbekistan;
- 194 people (137 families) from China;
- 13 people (9 families) from Turkmenistan;
- 11 people (9 families) from Mongolia;
- 7 people from Russia (6 families);
- 6 people from Kyrgyzstan (3 families);
- 3 people (1 family) from Turkey.
Of the 176 ethnic Kazakhs who applied, the status of "Kandas" was extended.
