At a joint meeting of the standing commissions of the Almaty Regional Maslikhat, current issues of agricultural development, entrepreneurship, and the agro-industrial complex of the region were reviewed.
During the meeting, issues of supporting entrepreneurship in the agricultural sector, funding volumes and subsidy mechanisms, the progress of the livestock development plan implementation, as well as the conduct of autumn field work were discussed. Special attention was paid to the availability of financing and land resources for agricultural producers.
In addition, information was presented on activities to support business entities and agricultural producers, the formation and use of the regional stabilization fund, as well as measures to stabilize food prices.
The issue of establishing maximum sizes of agricultural land plots was also considered, and relevant proposals were discussed.
In the field of veterinary medicine, issues of introducing amendments and additions to the rules for keeping and walking domestic animals on the territory of settlements, as well as to the rules for catching, temporary keeping, and euthanizing animals, were considered.
During the meeting, the deputies heard reports from representatives of responsible state bodies and organizations on the issues under consideration. Following the discussion, the need for further development of agriculture and entrepreneurship, ensuring food security in the region, and constant monitoring of the veterinary and sanitary situation was noted.
The meeting of the standing commission of the Almaty Regional Maslikhat «On Housing and Communal Services, Construction and Architecture, and Development of Transport and Logistics Infrastructure» was held under the chairmanship of the commission chairman D. Zharasbayev.
The meeting addressed issues related to the development of the region's road transport and communal infrastructure, landscaping and ensuring sanitary cleanliness of settlements, as well as preparations for the winter period.
The agenda included discussions on issues concerning the rules of landscaping and sanitary cleaning of cities and settlements of Almaty Region, the progress of work on the development and maintenance of regional and district-level highways, as well as streets of settlements. In addition, issues of control over heavy and oversized vehicles, compliance with safety and permit requirements in the transport sector, development of passenger transport, and prevention of offenses in the field of passenger transportation were considered.
The deputies heard information on the progress of reconstruction, major and medium repairs of national highways. In addition, issues of implementing the development plan for the Almaty agglomeration, comprehensive development plans for the cities of «Konayev» and «Alatau», as well as the development of construction and engineering infrastructure in these cities were considered.
During the meeting, the region's readiness for the heating season, the condition of heat supply, electricity supply, and water supply systems, as well as infrastructure projects within the framework of public-private partnership were discussed. Special attention was paid to the modernization and construction of water supply, wastewater disposal, and sewage treatment facilities.
In addition, the discussion covered the readiness of the region's highways for the winter period, preparation of communal facilities for the heating season, and ensuring stable operation of engineering networks.
Following the meeting, the deputies heard the relevant reports and noted the need for timely and high-quality execution of work on the issues raised. The main focus was directed at developing road transport infrastructure, landscaping of settlements, modernizing communal systems, and creating a safe and comfortable environment for the population.

Registration for the first republican marathon of reading books "Reading Nation" has started in Kazakhstan The project will bring together participants from all regions of the country and will become one of the largest national initiatives to promote reading and the development of book culture The marathon will be held from September 2026 to April 2027 in two language leagues Kazakh and Russian
The project includes 7 specialized areas

In accordance with a special instruction from the Head of State, Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov and Head of the Presidential Administration Roman Sklyar attended a meeting of deputies of the Almaty Region Maslikhat.
At the meeting, Roman Sklyar presented to the deputies President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s letter proposing two candidates for the position of Akim of Almaty Region: former Minister of Emergency Situations Chingis Arinov and Deputy Akim of Almaty Region Gani Mailybayev.
A total of 178 deputies attended the meeting. Following the open vote, 83% of the deputies supported the candidacy of Chingis Arinov. Subsequently, by the relevant Presidential Decree, Chingis Arinov was appointed Akim of Almaty Region.

As part of the nationwide “Road to School” campaign, deputies of the Almaty Regional Maslikhat provided more than 400 children with school supplies, backpacks, school uniforms, and sportswear worth nearly 10 million tenge.
In addition, a family with eight children was provided with a 10-sotyk plot of land and a house. This is concrete support for low-income, large, and single-parent families. The joy on the children’s faces and the gratitude of their parents are the greatest results of this good cause.
