Before the beginning of the sowing season, the Emergency Department of the Kegensky district recalls the fire safety rules, which, if observed, can prevent fires on agricultural machinery and protect the persons involved in the sowing work from injuries.

Heads of agricultural enterprises, or persons responsible for fire safety, must conduct instructions on fire safety rules during the sowing campaign with all involved persons, under the signature.

 As for specialized equipment in the fields:

• The exhaust pipes of the engines of sowing equipment must be equipped with serviceable spark arresters, which must be periodically cleaned of carbon deposits.
• All equipment must be equipped with primary fire extinguishing equipment, namely: serviceable fire extinguishers, brooms, shovels, scoops, and water containers.
•  The fuel system must be properly regulated and leak-free.
•  The electrical wiring must be in good technical condition, insulated and reinforced.
•     During operation, the engines of the units should be covered with hoods, and the engines should be cleaned of oil, combustible dust, etc. at least 2 times a shift
•  Fields in places where they are adjacent to dirt and railways, as well as to woodlands should be plowed with a strip of at least 4 meters.

In the places of work of sowing equipment, there must be one tractor on duty with a plow, in case of fire elimination, in case of their occurrence.

Filling with petroleum products and carrying out gas and electric welding operations in the field should be carried out on special sites cleared of dry grass, combustible debris and plowed with a strip of at least 4 m wide or on plowing. Refueling should only be carried out by the tanker with the engines turned off.

During sowing operations, IT is PROHIBITED:

-smoking in the fields;

-build fires and cooking fires in the fields;

-leave running units unattended;

-burn stubble and straw in the fields;

-use blowtorches to burn out dust in engine radiators;

-work with open hoods or without them on the sowing equipment;

In the event of a fire, immediately turn off the equipment and start extinguishing the fire with the available fire extinguishing equipment, while calling the fire service.

Follow the rules of fire safety and demand their implementation from others!
